Appearing beyond the gaze that lingers,
Layered within... piercing through, recalling the hidden essence.
A wandering mind, lost in reverie, Drifting... yearning to reclaim the past.
Looking through the lens is a process of transforming visible reality into perception through imagery. What appears before our eyes is merely a fragment of the experiences we encounter. Yet, the true essence of those moments unfolds deep within the mind and emotions-beyond the reach of mere sight. The complexity of feelings and thoughts embedded within an image is often overlooked, despite being crucial to interpreting a photograph.
The journey of emotion begins at the moment of seeing. Every act of observation leads to perception. Photography is not merely a means of recording events or capturing fleeting moments; it is a passage into the world of emotions. What stands before us is not the conclusion of a story, but the beginning of an exploration into the psychological depths hidden within that moment.
The truth conveyed through photography is often layered with questions. An image may reflect the reality our eyes perceive, yet its deeper meaning lies within the unseen emotions and sensations it evokes. The truth within a photograph is not confined to what is visible but extends into the realm of profound emotional expression. When we look beyond the surface and connect with the concealed sentiments within, the photograph transcends its form, becoming something far more meaningful.
About the Artist
Kanokwan Sutthang (B.1997 in Bangkok, Thailand)
A contemporary artist whose work explores the relationship between nature and humans, with a particular focus on the cultural and environmental roles of plants. She investigates the passage of time through the natural world around her, translating her observations and interactions into various mediums, including photography, ceramics, and installation. Her work highlights the beauty in small, often-overlooked details, encouraging a deeper appreciation of nature’s subtle transformations.

Butsapasila Wanjing (B.2000 in Chiang Mai, Thailand)
An artist who is interested in exploring the transformation of collective memory within the changing contexts of different eras, focusing on the traces that remain and their connections to the present. Their work draws from a variety of narratives—including historical conspiracy theories, folklore, oral traditions, and histories that exist outside the dominant narrative—using storytelling as a key material in the practice. Additionally, they examine personal memory as a means of connecting with contemporary social and cultural dynamics.

Sutiphong Sudsang (B.1999 in Sisaket, Thailand)
An artist working across various media, exploring social issues related to rural landscapes, rituals, spiritual beliefs, and the supernatural, as well as local histories and folklore gradually fading from collective memory. His work often questions the relationship between belief systems and unofficial histories. Functioning as an ongoing investigation, his practice allows stories and surrounding environments to become integral parts of a creative process with no fixed conclusion.
About the Curator
Thiti Teeraworawit
Gallery manager of HOP, curator and independent artist, holds a degree from the Faculty of Architecture, Art, and Design at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. His journey began as a curator in group exhibitions, stemming from his Thesis Project. He later transitioned to curate the "Secret Body" exhibition at the WHOOP! exhibition room in the HOP Hub of Photography. Thiti further expanded his role as a co-curator in the "BLOSSOM BODIES" exhibition at AVANI+ RIVERSIDE BANGKOK.
Thiti's interest lies in presenting art from diverse perspectives and exploring contemporary art presentation possibilities on thought-provoking issues. Including the content of the exhibition's creation and the artist's artwork.
